Why I'm Running

I step up for the state senate to bring more sustainability, social justice, and strategic thinking to Montpelier. As a mom of twins, I care about tomorrow. So, I’ll champion sustainable choices that promote the health of our people and environment. I believe investing early avoids crisis later. Grassroots experience with our vulnerable residents gives me insight; my Human Rights Commission service brings perspective. Both empower me to speak out for the dignity, beauty, and possibilities each of us possess. As an entrepreneur, I employ creative, optimistic approaches to challenges. I've gained national expertise guiding governments and philanthropies, such as the Ford Foundation, as they improve the way they meet their missions. Because I understand the value of learning all our lives, I've helped our communities bring in over four million dollars to innovate education. I run for state senate to continue to help Vermont flourish today and in the future.
